Next to Kin
The newest old idea in safety

Help shouldn’t need an app.

A KinTag is a small, no-battery tag anyone can tap to instantly see who you are and who to call. Just a way back to the people who matter.

Designed by a family. Made and shipped in the USA.

Watch the story behind Next to Kin.

A tracker tells you where a thing is. A KinTag helps a person get home.

No app

Any phone can tap it. Nothing to download.

No battery

It never dies, never charges, never expires.

No tracking

It can’t follow anyone. It only helps when tapped.

How it works

Three steps. That’s the whole plan.

1

Pick pre-programmed or blank

Pre-programmed ships ready to tap — enter the contact info at checkout, takes two minutes. Or choose non-programmed and set it up yourself later, for less.

2

We mail it

Pre-programmed tags ship ready to go. Non-programmed tags ship blank — a quick tap once it arrives is all it takes to activate.

3

Clip it on. Done.

No battery to charge, nothing else to set up. The moment someone taps it, they reach the number you chose — today or five years from now.

Choose your safety net

More tags. More people looking out.

Every KinTag is protected for $1/month. Choose how wide you want to build your family’s safety net.

The monthly subscription keeps each KinTag active, editable and ready to connect someone back to you. Cancel anytime.

Why bigger packs cost less upfront

The upfront charge covers making a tag and getting it to you. The $1/month is what keeps it working — live, editable, and ready to connect a stranger back to you. So the more tags you keep active, the less we need to charge to put them in your hands. At twenty-five, the tags pay for themselves and we send them free.

Shipping is included on every order, and your first month is charged together with your order. Lost or stolen tags are replaced free, up to 3 per calendar year.

See it work

One tap. That’s the whole thing.

No app to install, nothing to pair, nothing to charge. Someone holds their phone to the tag and your contact page opens.

Filmed on a phone, not in a studio.

What it actually looks like

Set it up in a minute. Change it whenever life changes.

No app to download and nothing to charge. A tag is a web page only you can edit — and a tap is all it takes for someone to reach you.

Activate before use

Make this tag ready to help.

Attach it to a loved one, their bag, or their jacket. If someone finds them, a tap can help them reach you.

Yours to change

Sign in, edit, done. The tag never changes — the information behind it does, the moment you save it.

The tag stays the same. What it says is up to you.

Everything behind the tag can be changed from your dashboard whenever you need it, and it’s live the moment you save. Heading away for a week? Add where you’re staying and which number to try first. Back home? Take it off again. New medication, a new caregiver, a phone number that changed — same two minutes.

And none of it is required. A name and one phone number is a complete, working tag. Add only what matters for your situation — the person who finds them sees exactly that, and nothing else.

Why we built this

This is Piper.

My niece — and part of the reason the KinTag exists. Watching my sister carry the fear that comes with loving someone who depends on others to help her get found is what turned this from an idea into something we had to build.
